1. What this service is

Take the Pitch ("the Site") is an independent sports-analytics research publication. It publishes the output of a statistical model — probabilities, logged paper signals, graded results, and commentary — for informational and educational purposes only.

2. Not betting advice

Nothing on the Site is betting, investment, financial, or legal advice, and nothing is a recommendation to place any wager. During the model's public trial, published signals carry no money and are explicitly not recommendations. Expected value is a long-run statistical concept; short-run variance dominates. Past results, including closing-line value, do not guarantee future results.

3. Eligibility

The Site is intended for people of legal sports-wagering age in their jurisdiction (21+ in most U.S. states) and is not directed to anyone under that age. Sports wagering is not legal everywhere; you are solely responsible for knowing and following the laws where you live. If you choose to wager, you do so entirely at your own risk.

4. No affiliation

Take the Pitch is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a licensed operator of any sportsbook, casino, or league (including MLB). Team and player names appear as factual sports data references only.

5. Accounts, waitlist, and email

Joining the waitlist creates no purchase, obligation, or guarantee of access or pricing. Paid tiers, if they open, will carry their own terms presented at that time. We may remove any subscriber at our discretion (e.g., abuse).

6. Intellectual property

Site content (text, design, data presentations) belongs to Take the Pitch. You may share links and reasonable excerpts with attribution; you may not republish the ledger or signal feed wholesale or resell any Site content.

7. Accuracy and availability

Data comes from public feeds and automated pipelines that can be wrong, late, or unavailable. The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Take the Pitch and its operator are not liable for any losses or damages — including wagering losses — arising from use of the Site or reliance on anything published on it. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (during the free trial: nothing).

10. Changes

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date changes when we do. Continued use after a change is acceptance.
